ipsy October Glam Bag

IMG_4245_edited-1I came home from my mini vacation to find a wonderful pink package in the mail. Even though I’d never subscribed to the ipsy Glam Bags, I’ve seen enough YouTube reviews that I immediately knew what was inside that hot pink packaging. The subscription was an early Christmas present from my Dad (since he didn’t know when I’d actually get it since there was a waiting list), and I couldn’t be happier to get to try new products every month!

I love the little bag the products come in this month. It’s a cute, quilted teal and feels nice in your hands, and I intend to use it for bits and bobs in my purse.

There were two mini skin care samples in the bag: Albertini’s Warm Love Pumpkin Exfoliating Mask and the Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser. I’ve yet to try either of these products, but I love that ipsy included something with pumpkin for fall! I’m not sure how I will do with the cleanser since my skin is super finicky and I’ve been trying to stick to a regular cleansing routine, but I will definitely try both – especially the mask!

IMG_4252_edited-1How cute is this Figs & Rouge Rose Berry Hand Cream?! I’m a huge fan of hand creams, since without them my hands look like cracked pavement in the winter. This one has a very light floral scent, and while it’s not as moisturizing as a L’Occitane hand cream (my favorite!), it gets the job done and will be useful to put in either my purse or backpack so I don’t have to switch my L’Occitane one between bags.

IMG_4253_edited-1I got most excited about the Skone Tattooed Waterproof Eyeliner when I saw it in the bag this month. I use black liquid eyeliner nearly every day, and I have already tried this one out the other morning. It’s extremely matte and black, but dries out quickly. I was able to revive it by swiping it on the back of my hand. That’s not necessarily a no-no for me, but the tip of the pen is too thick for everyday liquid or winged eyeliner. I tried twice to repair one of my wings that went awry, but it was hard with the thick, stick pen.

I don’t wear lip gloss that often, but the Starlooks Guilty Pleasure lip gloss looks and smells lovely. It’s a creamy neutral pink and I will have to try it out soon.

I’m very happy with my first Glam Bag! I can see myself using all of these products at least once, especially the eyeliner and hand cream (and I may try the exfoliating mask tonight). I can’t wait until next month’s bag!
