It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Time to spend with family, time to eat lots of delicious food, and time for LOTS of shopping! I’d like to think that I’m pretty ahead of the game when it comes to gift ideas for my family this year, and I have a fairly solid idea of what I’m going to ask Santa for this year. And yes, even though I’m 21 and my younger sister is 17, my parents still give us at least one gift from “Santa.”
This is is no way to brag or say that I’m going to get all (or any!) of these things for Christmas or Hanukkah, but rather to give you some ideas of gifts for the people in your life that may like the same things as me or give you an idea of what to ask for if you’re one of those people who says “nothing” or “I don’t know” every year.
To be honest, half the reason I wanted an iPhone was because they just make so many damn cute cases for the iPhones than they do for Android phones! Though Rifle Paper Co. doesn’t have that many for the iPhone 6/6 Plus yet, all of their phone cases are adorable, and I love this purple one. If you have an iPhone but don’t have a case for it, this one is great because it has a rubber inside and hard outer shell to protect that precious screen.
I have been eyeing these purses since summer, and since my poor DailyLook Celine-knock off broke, I’m in desperate need of a new purse. I’m not totally set on the color, but I do love this golden yellow since it’s different than anything else I have and will become a staple piece for any neutral outfit. Plus I have the matching wallet, so it just seems right to get the purse to go with it!
This Christmas will mark the anniversary of getting my beloved Canon EOS Rebel T3i DSLR camera (what I use for nearly all of my blog photos). When I received the camera it came with a standard kit lens and a telephoto lens, so it would be nice to have something a bit lighter to use for different photos. The good thing about this lens is the small f-stop which allows a sharper focus with a blurry background, which is great for portraits.
How is it possible that I don’t own a pair of black boots, or a pair of ankle boots, for that matter? I got my combat boots from Target last year and they are still going strong, so I’m hoping these fashionable and functional booties last just as long. Is it unreasonable to just ask for an entire Target store for Christmas?
I would really love to get a decent set of makeup brushes for Christmas since all I have right now are about 10, and half of them are the $3 brushes from elf. I came across this brand and fell in love with the yellow handles, and their prices are a lot cheaper than MAC or Sigma. This kit comes with a pouch which will be great for travelling (usually my brushes just get shoved into my makeup bag) and it has all the essentials that I don’t have in my current collection.
6. Taylor Swift tickets
This is the part where I gush like everyone else about how utterly OBSESSED I am with Taylor Swift’s new album, 1989. Although her tour isn’t until next year, she is stopping in my home town just two days after my 22nd birthday. How perfect is that?! While I will have graduated by then and may not be living in Arizona anymore, I would love to see Taylor perform live, especially with this new album since it is basically all I’ve been listening to the past two weeks.
Man, do I need some new jeans in the worst way possible. After moving this past summer and donating/tossing the clothes I didn’t wear, were too worn out, or didn’t fit anymore, I got rid of most of my jeans and I would really like some more. These ones from American Eagle look like the ones I want, but I’ll probably just ask for an American Eagle gift card so I can try them on. It’s been so long since I’ve gotten new jeans I don’t even know what size I am anymore!
Same goes for sweaters – I need more! There’s nothing like a cozy and cute sweater for Christmas and the winter months that follow, even though you don’t always need them in Arizona. I love the v-neck cut on this sweater from H&M, but as with the jeans, this Christmas gift will probably come in the form of a gift card.
I hope this gave you some ideas on what to give your loved ones – or yourself! – for the holidays this year. What would be on your holiday wishlist?
